Is responsible for overseeing strategic out-licensing partnerships within Mexico, ensuring strong governance, alignment of objectives, and sustainable value creation for both Viatris and its external partners.
This role acts as the central point of contact for partnership management, driving performance, resolving issues, and ensuring effective collaboration. The position holds full P&L accountability for assigned partnerships, ensuring delivery of financial targets while strengthening long-term strategic relationships.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Partnership Strategy & Governance
Lead the governance of out-licensing partnerships, ensuring clear alignment on objectives, roles, and performance expectations.
Act as the primary point of contact between Viatris and external partners.
Ensure structured governance forums (e.g., performance reviews, joint business planning).
Maintain strong alignment with internal stakeholders across functions.
P&L Ownership & Business Performance
Own full P&L for assigned partnerships, ensuring delivery of revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
Monitor business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions.
Ensure strong financial discipline and performance tracking.
Commercial Execution & Growth
Drive execution of commercial strategies in collaboration with partners.
Identify opportunities to expand portfolio value and maximize partnership potential.
Support new product integration and lifecycle optimization within partnerships.
Relationship Management & Collaboration
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key external partners.
Foster a collaborative and performance-driven partnership environment.
Align cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Medical, Supply, Finance, Legal) to support partnership success.
Issue Resolution & Risk Management
Proactively identify and resolve operational, commercial, or contractual issues.
Manage risks and ensure business continuity across partnerships.
Escalate critical issues when required and ensure timely resolution.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Establish and track KPIs to measure partnership performance and effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and outcomes.
Ensure transparency and clear communication of performance to leadership.
Success Indicators
Achievement of revenue and profitability targets (P&L performance)
Growth of partnership portfolio value
Strength of partner relationships and collaboration effectiveness
Delivery of joint business plans and strategic initiatives
Timely resolution of issues and operational excellence
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
6–10+ years of experience in commercial roles, business development, partnerships, or alliance management.
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred.
Strong experience managing P&L and driving business performance.
Proven ability to manage external partnerships and complex stakeholder environments.
Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish required.
