As an HSE Projects Lead you will serve as a strategic and technical resource, driving the integration of robust Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices across a dynamic portfolio of projects. These span from complex construction developments to internal transformation programs, each requiring tailored risk management and compliance strategies.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Lead HSE planning and execution across the project portfolio, serving as the technical HSE resource for high-risk activities including electrical safety, lifting operations, and work at height. Provide expert oversight of contractor management and contribute to remediation efforts and end-of-project transitions, ensuring safe and compliant delivery.
Help shape and implement forward-looking HSE strategies for both new build construction and transformational change initiatives, embedding data-driven risk mitigation frameworks that identify trends, guide decision-making, and promote continuous improvement.
Foster strong stakeholder relationships, engaging collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and external entities
Drive change in a systemic way leveraging e.g. Change management certification or experience (e.g., Prosci, Kotter).
Drive accountability for execution of HSE programs, compliance, and continuous improvement. Leveraging expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis (5 Whys, RCA).
Familiarity with digital HSE platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, SAP EHS).
Help build organisational capability by coaching and mentoring site HSE professionals, fostering a culture of ownership and engagement.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on delivery and impact.
Champion the consistent application of the Sandoz Business System (or equivalent), integrating Lean practices into H&S programs.
What you will bring to the role:
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or technical equivalent).
Certified HSE professional (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, CMIOSH, or equivalent).
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated technical proficiency in HSE disciplines, with hands-on expertise in managing high-risk operations, construction environments, and remediation scopes. Skilled in applying regulatory standards and engineering controls to ensure safe execution and risk reduction across complex and varied project settings.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills; other languages desirable.
Collaborative leader in matrix environments, builds cross-functional alignment and engages senior stakeholders.
Results-driven, strategic thinker with practical execution
Willing to travel up to 15%.
What we offer:

Contract type: permanent contract with 6-month probation period

Pay range (annual gross salary): € 65.240 - € 97.860*
Salary at Sandoz is based on job level, qualifications, specific skills, and work experience. Fully proficient candidates are usually placed around the market median, less experienced candidates lower in the range, and those with strong or niche expertise higher. When determining placement within the range, we also consider internal pay equity and external market data. *

Annual bonus (STI): percentage of annual salary

Vodja HSE projektov bo strateški in tehnični vir, ki bo usmerjal vključevanje trdnih praks na področju zdravja, varnosti in okolja (HSE) v raznolik portfelj projektov. Ti segajo od kompleksnih gradbenih projektov do notranjih transformacijskih programov, pri čemer vsak zahteva prilagojene strategije za obvladovanje tveganj in skladnost.
Vaše ključne odgovornosti:
Vodenje načrtovanja in izvajanja HSE v celotnem portfelju projektov, kot tehnični vir za HSE pri dejavnostih z visokim tveganjem, vključno z električno varnostjo, dviganjem bremen in delom na višini. Zagotavljanje strokovnega nadzora nad upravljanjem izvajalcev ter prispevanje k sanacijskim ukrepom in prehodom ob zaključku projektov, z zagotavljanjem varne in skladne izvedbe.
Vsaj 5 let izkušenj z oblikovanjem in izvajanjem naprednih HSE strategij za novogradnje in transformacijske pobude, z vključevanjem podatkovno podprtih okvirjev za zmanjševanje tveganj, ki prepoznavajo trende, usmerjajo odločanje in spodbujajo nenehne izboljšave.
Krepitev odnosov z deležniki, sodelovanje z notranjimi ekipami, izvajalci in zunanjimi partnerji.
Sistematično uvajanje sprememb z uporabo znanj s področja upravljanja sprememb (npr. Prosci, Kotter).
Spodbujanje odgovornosti za izvajanje HSE programov, skladnost in nenehne izboljšave. Uporaba strokovnega znanja pri preiskovanju incidentov in analizi temeljnih vzrokov (5 Whys, RCA).

Plača v Sandozu temelji na nivoju delovnega mesta, kvalifikacijah, specifičnih veščinah in znanjih ter delovnih izkušnjah. Visoko usposobljeni kandidati so običajno umeščeni okoli mediane plačnega razpona, manj izkušeni na spodnji del razpona, kandidati z izrazito močnimi ali nišnimi kompetencami pa višje. Pri umeščanju v plačni razpon upoštevamo tudi notranjo uravnoteženost plač in zunanje tržne podatke.*
