About this role

Job Description:

As a privately-owned, biopharmaceutical company, Ferring pioneers and delivers life-changing therapies that help people build families and live better lives. Our independence helps us cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit and long-term perspective that enables us to achieve growth and scale, while remaining agile and true to our ‘people first’ philosophy. Built on a 70-year plus commitment to science and research, Ferring is relentless in its pursuit of science that drives powerful discoveries and therapies to help people build families, stay healthy, and stand up to the world’s oldest enemy: disease.

As a strategic lead within the Market Access team, you will drive pricing excellence for our product portfolio. This role is critical in navigating the complexities of both Medical (Part B / Buy-and-Bill) and Pharmacy (Part D / Commercial) benefits. You will serve as the analytical engine for the US Pricing Committee, providing the data-driven insights necessary to understand product distribution, market access, patient access and net revenue.

The position co-develops pricing options, models, negotiation plans, and contracting strategies in a matrix environment within Ferring US, leading to strategic pricing recommendations that are aligned with Global and local price guidance and approval process.

While this role does not include Government Pricing (GP) submissions, it requires a high degree of financial acumen to execute complex Gross-to-Net (GTN) analyses and ad-hoc modeling.

The role partners with teams internal to Market Access such as Offer Development, Commercial Contracting, Patient Access, Trade, and the Managed Care field team.  In addition, it also partners with Business Unit commercial players, Finance and the US Pricing Committee.

With Ferring, you will be joining a recognized leader, identified as one of “The World’s Most Innovative Companies” by Fast Company, and honored by Fortune with inclusion on its “Change the World List,” for addressing society’s unmet needs. Ferring US is also Great Places to Work® Certified, distinguishing it as one of the best companies to work for in the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Committee Leadership & Analysis
    • Coordinate the US Pricing Committee agenda, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on key decision points.
    • Conduct rigorous financial analysis and scenario modeling to support list price, discounting options, and net price recommendations for committee review.
    • Synthesize market trends, competitive intelligence, and payer dynamics into actionable briefings for senior leadership.
  • Specialty Portfolio Strategy
    • Develop integrated pricing strategies for specialty products covered under Medical Benefit (Buy-and-Bill/ASP) and Pharmacy Benefit (Rebate/PBM) structures.
    • Evaluate the impact of value-based or innovative contracting models on specialty brand performance.
  • Ad-Hoc Gross-to-Net (GTN) Analysis
    • Perform deep-dive, ad-hoc GTN analyses to identify margin leakage and evaluate the financial viability of proposed contracts.
    • Model the "waterfall" impact of discounts, rebates, and fees to provide a clear picture of realized net price across various channels.
    • Collaborate with Finance to ensure GTN assumptions are aligned with commercial forecasts.
  • Tools & Systems
    • Utilize and enhance pricing models; experience with Anaplan is highly valued for driving real-time GTN planning and scenario analysis.
    • Drive continuous improvement in modeling accuracy and reporting speed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Life Sciences; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical pricing, market access, or commercial finance, with a specific focus on specialty medications.
  • Medical & Pharmacy Benefit Knowledge: Proven expertise in managing products across both Medical (J-code/ASP) and Pharmacy (NDC/PBM) benefit channels.
  • Analytical Power: Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel) with the ability to conduct complex, ad-hoc net price analyses.
  • Software: Proficiency in data management tools; Anaplan experience is a significant plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex financial data to the US Pricing Committee and senior executives.

This role is onsite 4 days per week, in the Parsippany NJ office.
