About this role

Job Purpose

The Key Account Manager’s goal is to build productive relationships with existing and potential target customers, major accounts (e.g., medical practices, hospitals), and other stakeholders (e.g., pharmacies) through effective territory management focused on diseases that can be treated with our endocrinology products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, expand, and provide therapeutic and scientific support for the existing network of clients and KOLs
  • Select clients and identify potential prescribers for our product portfolio
  • Continuously expand the client base and refine the relevant target audience
  • Consistently implement the company’s strategy and initiatives to ensure that goals are met while addressing the individual needs of each client and target group
  • Develop account plans to support growth-oriented revenue and profit planning
  • Responsibly allocate the assigned budget for client development
  • Develop innovative training concepts based on current client needs
  • Participate in conferences, sponsored events, and other meetings as opportunities for customer engagement and personal development
  • Educate customers about complex diagnostic and treatment scenarios, raise awareness of rare diseases and orphan drugs, and support the development of healthcare networks
  • Complete reporting and general administrative tasks
  • Assist in the creation of brochures and materials for customers

 

Your profil

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a scientific, pharmaceutical, or medical field
  • At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales; experience in the field of rare diseases or endocrinology is a plus
  • An established hospital network for niche products and a regional network of physicians are desirable
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong sales orientation, excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Positive attitude and solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
  • Fluency in German and good command of English
