CEE Expert Lead

About the role

The Expert Lead for the Central Eastern Europe (CEE) Cluster at Haleon is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving expert operations across multiple countries within the CEE region. This role is pivotal in leading the transformation towards a fully integrated omnichannel approach, enhancing expert engagement, and achieving the 'brand recommended most often' (BRMO) status. The Expert Lead will manage a diverse team, including Expert Engagement Leaders, Content Managers, and Omnichannel Managers, to ensure alignment with Haleon's strategic objectives. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics across the CEE cluster, making a significant impact on Haleon's growth and success in this diverse and dynamic region.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive expert engagement strategy specifically tailored for the CEE cluster, focusing on omnichannel transformation and increased expert recommendations.

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of expert objectives, ensuring alignment with both OTC and OHC priorities, with a particular emphasis on the unique market dynamics and opportunities within the CEE region.

  • Drive the transformation of OTC into significant growth opportunities through enhanced omnichannel engagement and strengthened HCP reach, leveraging the diverse market characteristics of the CEE cluster.

Omnichannel execution

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of omnichannel expert engagement strategies across the CEE cluster, ensuring alignment with Haleon's global objectives while addressing the specific needs and challenges of the CEE markets.

  • Foster a cohesive and interlinked operation across different expert functions to build and maintain the Omni-CH ecosystem, with a focus on maximizing the potential of the CEE region.

  • Identify and address gaps in the Omni-CH ecosystem, from technical requirements to team orchestration, with a particular focus on the CEE cluster's unique market conditions.

  • Ensure adherence to Haleon policies and procedures, conducting management monitoring to maintain clear SOPs, with a focus on compliance across the diverse regulatory environments within the CEE region.

  • Guide teams through industry changes, market dynamics, and company strategy transitions effectively, with a particular emphasis on the CEE cluster's evolving landscape.   ​

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Medical, IT, and Compliance, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding, with a focus on the CEE cluster's unique market characteristics.

  • Engage with HCOs/KOLs that influence consumer purchases along the consumer experience journey, with a particular emphasis on the CEE region's key stakeholders.

Budget Planning and Reporting

  • Manage expert spend with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring investment shifts towards strategic growth areas, including digital acceleration, with a focus on maximizing ROI within the CEE cluster.

  • Provide regular reports and updates on team performance and strategic sampling plan alignment, with a particular emphasis on the CEE region's performance metrics.  

Team Leadership and Performance Management

  • Build and lead high-performing expert teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and experimentation, with a focus on developing talent within the CEE cluster.

  • Ensure the development of team capabilities and maintain the highest standards of effectiveness, with a particular emphasis on the CEE region's unique market dynamics.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in an Expert Commercial role, with a significant understanding of Field Force (FF) Management, Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), Expert Marketing, and Digital strategies.

  • Proficiency in understanding and applying condition and product-based science.

  • Successful record of leading transformational change, preferably including digital transformation initiatives.

  • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to expert engagement and digital transformation.

  • Proven experience in optimization, including segmentation, targeting, and efficient organization sizing.

  • High proficiency in expert strategy design and execution, with a focus on omnichannel engagement.

  • Leadership capabilities with proven influential skills at a senior level.

  • People leadership experience.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex market dynamics across the CEE cluster.

  • Growth mindset and high learning agility, with the ability to adapt to changing industry trends and market conditions.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Relevant certifications in the field of healthcare or pharmaceuticals, if applicable.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Extensive experience across geographies within the Central Eastern Europe (CEE) region, with a proven track record in the consumer health or pharmaceutical sector.

Primary location – this role is based in: Warsaw, Poland

Additional locations: Czech Republic/Prague, Romania/Bucharest, Hungary/ Budapest, Athens/Greece.

   

    

PLN 331 874,00 - PLN 456 327,30 The salary range for this position is indicative and provided as a guide. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Further details regarding the total reward and benefits package will be shared during the recruitment process. Salary ranges may vary by location in line with local market conditions and applicable pay transparency regulations. Compensation information is shared for the primary location of this role. Where the position is advertised with additional locations the compensation range will be discussed during the recruiting process.
