About the role:

The Social Intelligence Lead will be part of the Social Intelligence Centre of Excellence, a newly created team tasked to strategically collect and use social and digital data (including owned and earned social, search and ratings and reviews) to answer business questions and solve complex problems.

The role is part of the Social Intelligence team and reports to the Head of Social Intelligence. The job holder will be based in China.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project Management and Delivery: Act as a project lead and trusted partner to deliver a variety of products, including platform setup, dashboards, training modules, performance reports, cultural/trend analyses, audience profiles, influencer assessments

  • Tooling: Set up the tools (queries for data collection, segmentation, dashboard design for different use cases, alert setup).

  • Training: Design and deliver training to upskill the different teams and democratize access to data.

  • Research Briefs and Methodology: Collect and discuss research briefs for internal stakeholders, define SOW and methodologies to answer them.

  • Reporting and Presenting: Draft well-curated reports comprehensive of insights and recommendations and deliver effective presentations.

  • Partnership: Act as a trusted partner, getting to know the different teams' objectives and needs to proactively support in making the most of the data available.

Qualifications and skills:

1. Business Expertise

·Minimum of 3 years (4 years preferred) of experience in social intelligence or digital insights, either on the client or agency side.

·Previous experience in FMCG and consumer goods preferable.

·Experience with standard industry softwares (Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Sprinklr, Trajaan, Google Keyword Planner etc) and vendors.

·Good interpersonal skills to understand internal client business needs and objectives, and to creatively develop methodologies and products tailored to them.

2. Problem Solving

The role will combine the ability to understand internal client business needs and objectives with technical knowledge of social and digital insights tools to translate briefs into research questions and effective methodologies and setup. They will manage stakeholders’ expectations, explaining data limitations and ideating creative solutions to achieve common goals. They will work closely with vendors to trouble shoot technical issues. They will stay current with latest social and digital measurement trends, as well as relevant industry trends.

Interpersonal Skills and Impact

The role will be responsible for supporting the operating units across departments (D&T, marketing, CBIA, CSPX, Corporate Affairs, Talent Acquisition, GCR) in leveraging social and digital data a variety of use case, both by providing training to upskill colleagues and promote direct adoption of tools, and providing services to tackle the most complex business questions and create best practices.

They will partner with internal clients of different departments (marketing, CBIA, CSPX, Digital & Tech) & vendors. They will be the subject matter expert for everything related to social and digital data & insights, responsible for educating and evangelising on the opportunities and proactively supporting categories and markets in defining new use cases. They will partner with vendors to create use cases that can be presented to external audience at industry events.
