Role Overview
The Expert Sales Manager will lead the execution of Haleon’s Expert Sales agenda for OTC and Wellness categories across Hong Kong and Macau. The role is responsible for driving healthcare professional engagement, strengthening expert recommendation, and delivering sustainable commercial outcomes across priority brands and channels.
This position acts as a critical bridge between brand strategy, field execution, distributor operations, and healthcare professional engagement. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen, scientific credibility, customer engagement capability, and operational discipline to deliver sales performance, strengthen HCP trust, and ensure compliant execution of all Expert-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory plans to promote Haleon OTC and Wellness products to healthcare professionals across Hong Kong and Macau, aligned with brand priorities and business objectives.
- Drive and optimise the Expert programme activation in Hong Kong, strengthening HCP engagement, expert recommendation, and commercial conversion.
- Deliver high-quality scientific and commercial engagement with HCP customers through face-to-face, remote, digital, educational, and event-based channels.
- Achieve agreed sales and performance indicators, including sell-in, sell-out, pricing, customer engagement quality, and month-end stock management.
- Manage the Expert forecasting cycle, gross-to-net tracking, AP/AR coordination, incentive calculation, reporting, and related commercial administration.
- Lead tender preparation, implementation, follow-up, and coordination with relevant internal stakeholders, distributors, and institutional customers.
- Maintain accurate customer records, HCP profiles, documentation, and operational controls required by local regulations and Haleon SOPs.
- Partner with Marketing, Medical, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Compliance, distributors, and field teams to ensure seamless execution of Expert initiatives.
- Support exhibitions, symposiums, CME activities, and other HCP engagement platforms to accelerate campaign implementation and deliver business priorities.
- Ensure all sales, promotional, tender, customer engagement, and distributor activities are executed in full compliance with applicable regulations, codes of practice, and Haleon governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy preferred; MBA is a plus.
- Strong scientific understanding and the ability to communicate complex product, category, and clinical concepts clearly to healthcare professionals.
- Solid understanding of the Hong Kong and Macau healthcare environment, ethical channel dynamics, HCP engagement practices, HA tendering and UMAO or Food labelling regulations.
Required Experience
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant ethical sales, key account, or HCP engagement experience in a multinational pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, or healthcare-related organisation.
- Prior experience in OTC, Wellness, ethical channel sales, HCP engagement, hospital, private clinic, government, tender, or distributor management is highly preferred.
- At least 3–4 years of managerial, supervisory, or cross-functional leadership experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering sales performance, improving customer engagement, managing complex stakeholders, and executing compliant commercial programmes.
