The Position
Senior Business Product Owner AI & Knowledge Management
The Role
The Senior Business Product Owner (Sr BPO) delivers scalable, high-impact solutions and automated processes for global customer service. The Sr BPO steers agile teams, aligns stakeholders, and drives adoption to deliver business value. As Sr BPO AI & Knowledge Management you are responsible for advanced Service Knowledge Management solutions, centered around AI and AI-ready data pipelines. This role requires a blend of technological expertise and functional judgment to meet quality goals and the service community’s needs. Field experience in the Roche Diagnostics service business, or a comparable environment, is a major plus.
Your Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own the end-to-end product vision, translating field-user needs and business priorities into a strategic digital roadmap.
Process Optimization & Automation: Architect scalable global use cases and identify automation opportunities to streamline technical service operations.
Data Strategy: Shape the information architecture in collaboration with IT and subject matter experts, ensuring fitness for purpose and interoperability. Ensure data compliance, design platform-specific governance, and align with overarching standards.
Lifecycle & Delivery Management: Manage the complete product lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery while managing cross-program dependencies and risks.
Agile Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and align multiple agile squads - including IT Solution Owners, Product Designers, and developers - toward successful delivery.
Stakeholder & IT Collaboration: Partner with senior business leaders to align product strategies with corporate goals, and collaborate with IT/Architecture teams to ensure technical scalability.
Who you are
Master’s degree in STEM or Economics / Business Administration, or equivalent experience; exhibiting excellence and fluidity on the intersection of business and technology. 5-10 years work experience in a high-tech, engineering, or service-oriented business.
Technical Service Domain: Understanding of global field operations and service workflows is a distinct advantage.
AI & Tech Stack Savvy with a User Focus: Combine a confident understanding of LLMs and their surrounding tech stack (e.g. RAG architectures, prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI-ready data pipelines) with a strong capacity for the functional, content-driven dimension, effectively translating technical capabilities into high-impact solutions for the service user community.
Product Lifecycle Ownership: Expert at architecting scalable global workflows and driving digital automation, with end-to-end delivery of solutions from concept to global rollout and user adoption.
Agile Team Steering: Proven experience leading and aligning multiple cross-functional agile squads.
Stakeholder Alignment: Strong ability to bridge the gap between senior business executives and IT/Architecture teams. Skilled at building data-driven business cases, defining KPIs, and maximizing product ROI.
