Are you studying Engineering, IT, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field and looking to gain hands-on experience with project management in a highly regulated environment?
At Bavarian Nordic, we are looking for a Student Assistant to support a strategic Windows 11 upgrade project across our laboratory and production environments. This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into how IT projects are managed within pharmaceutical manufacturing while working closely with stakeholders across IT, Production, Quality, and Laboratory.
Become part of an exciting IT transformation
You will join our Manufacturing Equipment and Systems team and support the planning, coordination, and execution of a large-scale Windows 11 migration covering laboratory equipment and production systems. While an interest in technology is beneficial, your primary role will be to help drive the project forward through coordination, planning, communication, and follow-up. You will work alongside experienced specialists while contributing directly to a business-critical digital transformation initiative.
Your responsibilities
As a Student Assistant, you will:
- Coordinate project activities across IT, Laboratory, Production, Quality, and external vendors
- Track timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Support planning and scheduling of testing and validation activities
- Maintain project documentation and prepare status updates
- Facilitate meetings and document actions and decisions
- Support stakeholder communication and project governance
- Assist with the inventory and assessment of Windows 10 devices
- Help ensure project activities are executed in accordance with compliance and validation requirements
Who are you?
We imagine that you:
- Are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Have an interest in IT systems, infrastructure, and digitalization within regulated industries
- Are structured, proactive, and have strong coordination skills
- Enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across different functions
- Communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken
- Experience with project management, Windows operating systems, Computer System Validation (CSV), GMP/GxP, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is an advantage.
