Job Description

About the role:

The Senior Professional Controlling is responsible for managing and maintaining control of the organization's financial operations, resources, and assets. This role provides data and reports summarizing the company's financial position to aid in management decision-making and may make recommendations to senior management. The role supports the financial stability and integrity of the organization, contributing to Takeda's mission. 

How You Will Contribute  

  • Manage and maintain control of the organization's financial operations, resources, and assets.  

  • Provide data and reports summarizing the company's financial position to aid in management decision-making.  

  • Make recommendations based on financial analysis and identified business trends.  

  • Support the development of mid-term plans to optimize the organization, function, or sub-function.  

  • Contribute to the implementation of strategies aligned with corporate objectives 

  • Conduct internal audits and provide input on best practices and control improvements.  

  • Support continuous improvement of financial and controlling processes. 

Skills and Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in controlling, finance, accounting, or related fields 

  • Conducts internal audits with a high degree of independence, applying established standards, and contributing to audit process improvements.  

  • Performs risk analysis in routine and moderately complex situations, identifying mitigation opportunities and advising stakeholders as appropriate 

  • Conducts financial auditing activities independently and supports resolution of moderately complex control issues.  

  • Applies advanced budgeting techniques in moderately complex situations and supports forward-looking financial planning.  

  • Executes corporate finance activities independently in assigned areas and provides recommendations based on analysis.  

  • Supports change initiatives and helps others adapt to updated processes and ways of working.  

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in routine and moderately complex scenarios.  

  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives, helping enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control effectiveness.  

  • Analyzes data to identify financial trends and provides practical recommendations for business decision-making.  

  • Prepares detailed financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.  

  • Applies strategic thinking to improve financial processes and outcomes within the scope of the role.  

  • Provides informal guidance to junior colleagues and supports a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. 

As an experienced professional, this role is adept at solving a range of moderate scope and complexity problems, occasionally referring to policies and practices for guidance. The work involves analyzing situations and data, exercising judgment within established procedures, and fostering productive relationships internally and externally. The role requires solid knowledge of industry practices and contributes to departmental projects and goals through frequent interaction across the organization. It may occasionally lead small project teams and provide informal guidance to junior staff while working with minimal guidance.
