To support this growth, we are seeking a Market Access Director Belux, a highly strategic yet hands-on leader who will shape and drive access for our current and future therapies in Belgium and Luxembourg. This role reports directly to the General Manager Benelux and will play a central role in ensuring patients gain access to Incyte’s scientific innovations. The Role The Market Access Director Belux is responsible for defining and executing the market access strategy for Incyte’s portfolio in Belgium and Luxembourg. Operating within a growing biotech environment, the role requires both strategic leadership and operational execution. This is not a purely strategic position, it calls for a leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, navigating complexity, and personally driving key access initiatives. You will work across the full spectrum of market access activities, from stakeholder engagement and reimbursement strategy to pricing negotiations and lifecycle management, while building the foundations of a sustainable access capability in BELUX. The position will also play a critical role in preparing the healthcare ecosystem for multiple upcoming launches and new therapeutic indications, ensuring patients benefit from innovative therapies as rapidly as possible. Key Responsibilities Strategic Market Access Leadership • Define and implement the market access strategy for Belgium and Luxembourg across the full Incyte portfolio • Ensure optimal pricing, reimbursement and access pathways aligned with EU and global strategies • Provide strategic access insights to the Benelux leadership team and cross-functional partners Driving Access for Future Innovation • Lead the preparation of the access environment for new therapeutic launches and upcoming indications across multiple disease areas, including immune-mediated diseases and oncology • Develop early access strategies to maximize the probability and speed of reimbursement and patient access • Define and execute market shaping and stakeholder engagement plans to support each market access campaign • Support the development of value communication and evidence strategies aligned with payer expectations Protecting and Optimizing Existing Revenues • Lead the management and renewal of Managed Entry Agreements (MEA) across the Incyte portfolio • Prepare and drive pricing renegotiations and reimbursement renewals with healthcare authorities • Ensure long-term price sustainability and value protection Strategic Stakeholder Engagement • Build and maintain strong relationships with key institutional stakeholders, including: o Reimbursement authorities o Healthcare policy makers o Payer organizations o Clinical policy makers o Pharma industry groups • Position Incyte as a credible and trusted partner within the healthcare ecosystem External Partner Leadership • Manage relationships with external strategic and technical partners, including consultancies supporting pricing, HTA submissions, and evidence generation • Ensure alignment and excellence across all external collaborations Building Market Access Capability in BELUX • Establish and strengthen Incyte’s market access capability in Belgium and Luxembourg • Act as the internal expert on reimbursement policy, pricing frameworks and access dynamics • Triage closely with local medical and commercial colleagues including support from EU Market Access and Public affairs teams Leadership in a Growing Biotech Environment This role requires a leader who thrives in dynamic and evolving organizations. Success in this position requires the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, balancing long-term vision with immediate operational delivery. You will need to be comfortable wearing multiple hats, navigating complexity, and building structures while delivering tangible results. The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial mindset, strong resilience and the ability to move initiatives forward in an agile and collaborative way. Experience • Extensive experience in Market Access, Pricing or Health Economics within the pharmaceutical industry • Strong knowledge of the Belgian reimbursement and healthcare environment • Experience of successful lobbying and market shaping activities • Proven experience supporting successful launches and reimbursement negotiations • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments • Proven network of important external stakeholders relevant to the access arena in both Belgium and Luxemburg • Experience in Oncology, hematology and dermatology preferred Capabilities • Strategic thinker able to translate scientific innovation into healthcare value • Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills • Ability to operate effectively in growing, fast-moving organizations • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach • Strong language skills in French, Flemish/Dutch and English beneficial Education • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy or related discipline Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job.
