About the role

As a Demand Forecaster, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our trusted brands reach the people who need them — when and where they need them.

In this role, you will lead the monthly statistical forecasting process, delivering accurate baseline forecasts across all SKUs. By leveraging data from market trends, historical performance, and evolving consumer behaviors, you’ll generate demand forecasts that inform and optimize supply chain planning, production, and commercial strategies.

Your insights will help drive service excellence, reduce supply chain waste, and support our mission to make everyday health more accessible. If you're passionate about consumer health, love working with data, and want your work to have real-world impact, join us at Haleon — where your forecasts help people live healthier every day.

A day in the life

  • Monitor and analyse demand drivers such as seasonality, consumer trends, economic factors, and market dynamics. Provide insight to the data science hub to refine forecasting models and strategies as required.
  • Oversee and coordinate all activities related to statistical forecast preparation and hand over an (adjusted) baseline to the local Demand Planer preparation.
  • Clean sales history through automatic and manual outlier in cooperation with the local Demand Planner considering the impact from market activities.
  • Maintain close communication with Local in-Market demand planners to adjust baseline forecast in line with market trends.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of all components of the Demand Forecast, statistical baseline, promotion and repacking uplifts, and cannibalization effects.
  • Identify opportunity and manage switch between statistical forecasting methods and driver-based forecasting models.
  • Define, develop and test potential new (global) driver for AI/ML supported forecasting models in cooperation with data science hub and Demand Planer.
  • Manage product segmentation to ensure SKUs are grouped to optimise model performance and accuracy, as well as to enable consistent planning.

  • Prepare root/cause analysis reports identifying and proposing the required conclusions and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement Team to identify the gap on current process and methodologies for continuous improvement, enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
  • Track Forecast Value Accuracy KPI and ensure adherence to process where local enrichments are reducing Forecast accuracy.
  • Track and optimize forecasting metrics including Forecast Accuracy, BIAS and FASTAT vs FAENRICH to enhance forecast reliability.
