We are looking for a passionate and experienced ServiceNow Technical Specialist / Architect to take ownership of the design, evolution, and long‑term success of our ServiceNow platform.
This role goes beyond support or development. You will influence architecture, drive innovation, and partner closely with the business to unlock the full potential of ServiceNow across the organisation.
The Role & Your Impact
In this role, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of the ServiceNow platform, combining deep technical expertise with architectural vision. You will play a central role in ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and aligned with both current and future business needs.
Your impact will be felt across the organisation by enabling automation, improving efficiency, and delivering high‑quality solutions that support enterprise‑wide transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the design and evolution of the ServiceNow platform across core modules such as ITSM, CSM, ITOM, and CMDB
Defining architecture standards, solution blueprints, and integration strategies
Translating business requirements into elegant, sustainable technical solutions
Reviewing and guiding development to ensure best practices, maintainability, and platform health
Designing and implementing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and enterprise systems
Driving automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
Overseeing platform performance, upgrades, security, and governance
Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by clearly communicating technical options and trade‑offs
Mentoring developers and administrators while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
Experience & background
10+ years of overall IT experience with strong, hands‑on ServiceNow expertise
Proven experience designing and delivering ServiceNow solutions at scale
Solid experience across core modules, particularly ITSM (experience with additional modules is an advantage)
Technical capabilities
Strong scripting skills using JavaScript and the Glide API
Experience with Flow Designer and Service Portal / UI
Hands‑on integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs and external systems
Good understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, performance optimisation, and upgrades
Certifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
CIS, CAD, or CTA certifications – highly valued
Essential competencies
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Ability to balance short‑term business needs with long‑term platform sustainability
Clear communication skills, especially when explaining complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders

Exposure to additional ServiceNow modules beyond ITSM
