About this role

Lead the backbone of production readiness in a global biotech environment

At AGC Biologics, production doesn’t start on the shop floor - it starts with the teams who ensure everything is ready before a single step is executed.

As Manager of Manufacturing Operational Support, you will lead the function that enables daily production to run smoothly. From planning and materials coordination to production logistics, your team ensures that operations are prepared, aligned, and ready to deliver life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.

This is a role where leadership meets operational impact - where your ability to create structure, connect teams, and drive execution will directly influence production performance across the organization.

Where operational leadership drives production success

In this role, you will lead a production support team of Scientist & Technicians, acting as the link between shift-based manufacturing and the broader support organization.

You will translate business priorities into daily execution - ensuring that production plans, materials, and equipment are aligned and ready. From coordinating short-term schedules to managing equipment readiness and responding to operational challenges, your work will help keep manufacturing running efficiently and reliably.

You will also play a key role in handling escalations, working closely with Engineering and other stakeholders to resolve issues and minimize disruption to production.

A leadership role with broad organizational impact

This is a role where your leadership will shape both people and how the operation performs.

You step into a setup where parts of the organization still need structure, clarity, and stronger alignment. Your experience with building or developing teams and ways of working will be key in creating a solid foundation.

As the setup matures, your focus will shift towards driving performance, developing people, and ensuring a stable and efficient operation.

Success in this role comes from your ability to lead people while keeping a clear overview in a complex environment.

You are a visible and engaged leader who stays close to both people and operations. You set direction, create structure, and follow up on accountability, while remaining connected to what is happening on the floor.

You make sound decisions when things move fast and ensure that both people and production are supported. At the same time, you build strong relationships across functions and ensure alignment where it matters.

You develop your team, set clear expectations, and create a culture where ownership and accountability are part of how things get done.

You represent your area in audits, inspections, and key stakeholder interactions, contributing to both compliance and continuous improvement.

What will help you succeed

You bring strong leadership experience combined with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations.

You likely have:

  • A degree within biotechnology, engineering, life sciences, or similar
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in biologics API or GMP-regulated manufacturing
  • Proven experience leading teams in operational or manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of planning, logistics, and production support functions
  • Solid knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and production operations
  • Experience from multi-shift environments, CDMOs, or complex production setups, as well as exposure to audits and inspections, will be an advantage.

A culture built on collaboration and accountability

At AGC Biologics, we believe that strong performance starts with strong teams.

You will join an international environment where collaboration across functions is essential, and where leaders are expected to be visible, hands-on, and engaged. We value structure, clarity, and a proactive mindset - while also fostering a culture where people support each other and take pride in delivering results together.

Take ownership of a critical function

If you are motivated by leading teams, driving operational performance, and creating the foundation for successful manufacturing, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
