Position Summary
We have an opportunity for a Mogul Operator I to join our team. In this role, you will efficiently run and coordinate the daily operation of the Mogul machine according to the production schedule. You will perform minor troubleshooting, ensure product uniformity, and maintain accurate documentation. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while supporting team success.
Shift: Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am
Location: Greendale, IN

The Role
Complete all Batch Production Record information, including recipe adjustments, tooling verification, starch moisture sampling, and curing room parameter documentation.
Assist in Mogul machine setup, including mold board, nozzle plate, and piston bar adjustments as specified in the Mogul manual.
Monitor and maintain product uniformity in starch trays and prevent starch buildup on the mold board.
Inspect mold board impressions for quality and ensure proper board weight for each production run with documentation.
Respond quickly to minor malfunctions and notify the mechanic on duty; address minor breakdowns and jams as needed.
Verify raw materials, use scales and basic math, and input downtime in RedZone.
Report equipment malfunctions and product quality deviations to the Production Supervisor or Lead promptly.
Transport candy sleds to and from dry rooms and set specific temperatures according to standards.
Record overconsumption of raw materials and maintain accurate daily Mogul reports.
Clean Mogul equipment and work area daily, follow safety procedures, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Food Safety Plan, and Food Quality Plan.
Adjust skip and pump settings and inspect slurry flow into the Mogul hopper.
Participate in required training and perform other assigned duties.
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
At least 1 month of manufacturing experience required.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Physical ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 1000 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods, use hands for handling, reach with arms, climb or balance, and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
