Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Quality Control Technology to serve as the primary Technology Business Partner for Quality Control Solutions within Sandoz Technical Operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will co-lead the alignment of the technology roadmap with business priorities, transformation objectives, and value delivery across the organization. You will build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, drive the prioritization and delivery of technology initiatives, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to provide innovative, business-focused solutions. The role will also be responsible for advancing the Quality Control technology landscape, including the integration of laboratory instruments and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), ensuring seamless connectivity, data integrity, and operational excellence across Quality Control operations.

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Quality Control Technology to serve as the primary Technology Business Partner for Quality Control Solutions within Sandoz Technical Operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will co-lead the alignment of the technology roadmap with business priorities, transformation objectives, and value delivery across the organization. You will build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, drive the prioritization and delivery of technology initiatives, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to provide innovative, business-focused solutions. The role will also be responsible for advancing the Quality Control technology landscape, including the integration of laboratory instruments and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), ensuring seamless connectivity, data integrity, and operational excellence across Quality Control operations.

Major accountabilities: 

  • Build strong strategic partnerships with business stakeholders to align technology services with operational and business objectives.
  • Lead the delivery and governance of the Automation & Engineering technology portfolio, ensuring value-driven outcomes.
  • Define and communicate technology strategy, product roadmaps, and investment priorities in line with business goals.
  • Drive business transformation initiatives by leveraging technology to improve efficiency, innovation, and performance.
  • Collaborate across global Technology teams to manage portfolios, budgets, architecture, sourcing, and capability development.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, solution lifecycles, and technology investments to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Manage technology budgets, balancing business needs, costs, and global/local investment priorities.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture while providing leadership, decision-making, and escalation management across the organization.

Minimum Requirements: 

Education:

Degree in computer or IT related field or technical discipline


Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience within Quality Control and GxP-regulated environments.
  • 5+ years' experience working with Quality Control laboratory systems, including LIMS and CDS platforms.
  • 3+ years' people leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GxP compliance, computer system validation, and regulated technology solutions.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering technology strategy, global solutions, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders across global organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery, change management, vendor management, and budget oversight.
  • Expertise in modern delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices, including Agile, Lean/Six Sigma, and Design Thinking.
  • Experience leveraging digital technologies, data, and emerging market trends to drive business value.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience within a multinational, global organization preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, relationship management, and proactive leadership capabilities.
