Our team is a key part of the Data Office within Global IT, responsible for building and operating enterprise data and AI platforms that support business-critical analytics, AI, and digital transformation initiatives. We work closely with colleagues across IT, Data, Security, and business domains to provide scalable, governed, and trusted data capabilities.

As part of a global and collaborative team, you will contribute to establishing modern cloud-based data platforms, ensuring robust operations, and enabling data-driven decision making across the organization.

In this role you will make an impact:

As an AI Data Platform Engineer, you will focus on designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based data platform solutions that support analytics, AI, and business applications. Your work will center around cloud infrastructure, data platform services, automation, operational excellence, and platform reliability.

You will play a key role in ensuring data is securely stored, processed, monitored, and made available to users and applications in an efficient and scalable way.

…in addition, some of your key tasks will include:
•    Designing and implementing cloud-based solutions within the enterprise data platform, including data storage, processing, integration, and visualization components.
•    Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure and data platform services.
•    Monitoring platform performance, reliability, and utilization, and making recommendations for optimization and continuous improvement.
•    Collaborating with developers, architects, and IT professionals to ensure seamless integration between data platforms and other enterprise systems.
•    Working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is stored, governed, and retrieved efficiently and securely.
•    Developing and maintaining automation scripts, infrastructure-as-code solutions, and deployment pipelines to improve platform reliability and operational efficiency.
•    Creating and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and platform standards.
•    Staying current with emerging cloud, data, and AI platform technologies and recommending new capabilities where appropriate.
•    Supporting platform operations, governance, security, and lifecycle management across development, test, and production environments.
•    Contributing to platform best practices related to scalability, availability, monitoring, cost optimization, and security.

Together, you will help deliver enterprise-grade data capabilities that enable analytics, automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.

We expect you to bring…
•    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud platform engineering, data platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or similar technical roles.

Technical Skills

•    Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure & AWS.
•    Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and services such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, or similar technologies.
•    Experience designing and supporting data integration, storage, transformation, and processing solutions.
•    Understanding of data governance, security, identity management, and data protection principles.
•    Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and data architectures is considered an advantage.

Additionally, we expect you to be fluent in spoken and written English and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your ability to work effectively with stakeholders, collaborate across teams, and maintain a strong focus on quality and reliability will be essential for success in our global, multicultural environment.
