About the role
As an Operational Excellence (OpEx) Trainee in the Quality Lab, you will learn how continuous improvement supports quality excellence and compliance. You will gain exposure to laboratory processes while developing an understanding of how OpEx drives consistent quality, reduces variability, and strengthens regulatory adherence.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver a new digital solution for operational performance management in the laboratory.
Support Haleon Performance System (HAPS) deployment within quality lab processes and routines
Learn how continuous improvement ensures high-quality standards and compliance
Assist in analysing lab processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
Participate in root cause investigations related to quality deviations
Help maintain and improve lab standards, documentation, and procedures
Contribute to data collection and performance tracking for continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QA) to drive improvements
Support initiatives that enhance accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of lab operations
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor´s degree in pharmacy, chemistry, biology or related scientific discipline.
High attention to detail and quality mindset
Interest in compliance and regulated environments
Analytical and structured thinking.
Basic use of AI for programming
Strong learning agility and curiosity
Good teamwork and communication skills
Basic laboratory knowledge (nice to have)

Important, the scholarship has a duration of 12 months, full-time.
