Title: Finance Intern
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Support
- Assist in preparing monthly management reports, variance analysis, and performance dashboards.
- Support data collection, validation, and consolidation for budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
- Maintain and update data in financial tools and templates (Excel, Anaplan, Hyperion).
- Help prepare presentation slides for SEA leadership meetings and financial reviews.
- Perform master data maintenance and ensure data accuracy.
2. Reporting & Accounting Assistance
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including journal templates, accrual tracking, and reconciliations.
3. Business Partnering Exposure
- Support ad-hoc analysis on sales performance, operating expenses trends, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in meetings with finance business partners to observe how financial insights support decision-making.
4. Process Improvement Initiatives
- Collaborate with Country Finance Managers (both FP&A and F&A) to understand current process and improvement area.
- Document key finance processes and assist in identifying simplification and standardization opportunities.
- Support automation or template optimization projects to enhance reporting efficiency.
- Learn and apply new tools (e.g., Power BI, ChatGPT) to deliver real-time insights through interactive dashboards and reports.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with process mapping tools such as Miro Software is a plus.
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable working both independently and in a team environment.
- Interest in learning new techniques (e.g., Power BI, ChatGPT) to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
