The role & your impact

As Industry Technology Specialist for Beverage, you will help customers, particularly breweries, optimize the use of biosolutions through application guidance, technical trials, troubleshooting, and process improvement.

Working with a high degree of independence, you will translate complex brewing and beverage challenges into practical technical projects. Your work will influence customer value creation, product quality, process efficiency, project conversion, innovation development, and the growth of our regional beverage business.

Your key responsibilities in this role

Partner with beverage customers to provide application guidance, troubleshoot production challenges, conduct trials, and identify process improvements.
Independently plan and execute customer and internal projects, including experimental design, data interpretation, reporting, verification, and commercialization support.
Collaborate with beverage sales and marketing colleagues to identify industry challenges and develop high-value technical opportunities.
Evaluate new beverage concepts, lead early proof-of-concept studies, and provide technical input to the regional and global innovation pipeline.
Collaborate with global beverage experts and share knowledge about relevant technologies and applications.
Guide laboratory colleagues and help ensure reliable results in accordance with quality, safety, and documentation requirements.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role

A diploma, bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree in Brewing Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
At least three years of experience in brewing or the beverage industry.
Practical knowledge of fermentation, brewing processes, technical service, product development, or process optimization.
The ability to design and execute trials, diagnose production issues, interpret experimental results, and recommend scientifically sound and practical solutions.
Experience managing technical projects through verification and commercialization.
Strong written and spoken English, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A strong customer focus and a consistent commitment to delivering value.
Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to make evidence-based recommendations.
Effective collaboration and stakeholder-management capabilities.
The ability to take ownership of projects and communicate progress clearly.

Additional skills & interests we value

The following would be advantageous but are not mandatory:

Experience working with enzymes or other biosolutions.
Previous experience providing technical advice directly to customers.
Knowledge of emerging beverage technologies and applications.
Curiosity and enthusiasm for testing new concepts and contributing fresh ideas.
An adaptable mindset and an interest in working across functions, cultures, and markets.

You will plan your work flexibly around customer needs and project priorities. Frequent travel within Southeast Asia is required to support customer trials, troubleshoot processes, and collaborate with local commercial teams.
