Your key responsibilities in this role
- Support and optimize fermentation and recovery production processes and equipment to help ensure smooth operations and stable customer supply.
- Drive process optimization initiatives that improve cost efficiency and sustainability, working closely with local production teams and the global optimization network.
- Manage and optimize product Bills of Materials, yield performance, and process variance budgets.
- Monitor production performance closely, providing technical support and troubleshooting when needed.
- Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to support new product introductions and site transfers.
- Identify process or equipment constraints, propose technical solutions, and act as User Manager for assigned CAPEX projects.
What you’ll need to be successful in this role
- A master’s degree or PhD in Fermentation, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Strong stakeholder-management capabilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- A proactive mindset, learning agility, and curiosity.
- Good spoken, written, and listening skills in English.
Additional skills & interests we value
- Two or more years of relevant experience in fermentation, recovery, or bioprocessing environments.
- An interest in process optimization, sustainability, production-expansion projects, or new technology implementation.
- The potential and interest to develop broader leadership capabilities over time.
